Sing for Seniors Project at Wilkes-Barre Academy

Each year, first and second grades participate in a "gift of song" community service project. The children learn about five songs with the same theme during the weekly music class. Then the students will visit the local assisted living home, North Penn Manor, and perform the songs for the residents. The children will make special gifts (cards, paper flowers, etc.) and give them to the residents. After the performance, the students will visit and spend time with the residents.
