Welcome to Wilkes-Barre Academy

Where learning is just the beginning

Wilkes-Barre Academy is a private, non-profit school in Luzerne County that focuses entirely on an academically, advanced curriculum.  With only one classroom for each grade level, we serve Kindergarten though Eighth Grade students.  Our small setting allows from strong connections between home and school and creates an atmosphere where students love to learn.  Not only do we pride ourselves on strong communication with families, it is our mission to work together as a team to educate each and

every student to the best of our ability.   

 Wilkes-Barre Academy is not a religiously based school.  Our diverse community allows for students to learn from one another and opens their eyes to how unique and different each of us truly are. 

While our teachers are state certified and require continuing education, our small setting allows for collaborating and building our teaching strategies as there is no school year that is truly identical.   

Ultimately, the Academy allows for students enjoy close relationships and forge life-long bonds because of  our close-knit community.
