Student Vouchers
As a new member of our community, we want to let you know about an exciting gift card purchasing program that can help you save money on tuition and other in-school expenses.
Do you buy groceries, gas, clothing and homegoods? Do you use gift cards for gifts, payments or vacations? Do you eat out and support local businesses? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of those questions, the Wilkes Barre Voucher Program is for you.
What is the Wilkes Barre Academy Gift Card/Voucher Program?
The voucher program is a student-centered reimbursement program that gives you tuition credit (i.e., vouchers) that can be used towards your child’s tuition.
Think “cash back” rewards that help pay for your child’s education.
All you have to do is purchase one of the 750+ national and local gift cards available through our program (RaiseRight), and we’ll issue you a percentage-based credit that can be used towards school expenses, including tuition, lunch cards and field trips.
Participation isn’t limited to parents. Invite friends and family to purchase gift cards using our unique code, and all their purchases will be credited to your student account.
What gift cards are available?
There are over 750 retailers, restaurants and grocers that participate in our program. Here are a few of our most popular gift cards :

How much can I earn?
Every time you purchase a gift card you earn a percentage of the total sale. How much you earn depends on the retailer, restaurant, or grocery gift card you purchase. Grocery gift purchases typically earn between 2% and 5%. Retailer gift cards vary significantly, with some, like Old Navy, Gap, Macy’s, Lands’ End and Boscovs earning anywhere between 8% and 15%.* RaiseRight also features daily bonuses that offer a temporary earnings increase on select gift cards.
The best way to find out how much you can earn is to check the RaiseRight app or RaiseRight.com. There you’ll always find the most up-to-date information on earning opportunities and bonuses.
*Note that earnings may vary and are at the discretion of the retailer, grocer, restaurant or originating entity. See RaiseRight for the most current earning rates.
How do I get my gift cards?
You can place a gift card order in one of three ways :
- Online at RaiseRight.com
- Through the RaiseRight app
- By completing a physical order form and returning it to the school by 9AM on the scheduled Monday order deadline date.
eGift cards can be purchased online or through the RaiseRight app and are typically available in your account within a few minutes of purchase with payment through PrestoPay, RaiseRight’s payment processor. Some ecards purchased through the program, like those from Walmart and Home Depot, can be reloaded through the RaiseRight platform.
If you wish to pay for eGift cards via check, you simply put your check in one of the locked voucher boxes located at the entrance to Small Wonders and across from the Wilkes Barre Academy main office. Checks must be submitted by 9AM on the nearest Monday order deadline. Cards purchased via check will be available on the days we process orders (see below).
Physical gift cards are processed biweekly (with the exception of holidays), and orders must be placed by 9:00 am on the last day of our sales window. Our summer schedule is as follows:

Note: A fall gift-card schedule will be available at the start of the 2022/23 school year.
Once your physical gift card order is filled, it is placed in our Voucher Program box in the vestibule of the main entrance to the school. You can pick up your order during operational hours by using your Wilkes Barre Academy access card.
How do I get and use my credit slips?
At the end of the month, we’ll give you a rebate slip. When you’re ready, you can use your rebate slip(s) to decrease your monthly tuition payment or cover other qualifying school expenses.
Tuition credits are good for one year. For instance, a credit slip from September 2022 will expire in September 2023.
Ready to get started? It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3...
