Student Safety & Security Awareness

Wilkes-Barre Academy's school campus is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital camera system covering the entire footprint of the exterior of the building, as well as, strategically placed internal cameras in all common areas.

Our school remains locked from outside access while school is in session with only staff having access via key cards.  Parents must buzz in at the office to gain entry while school is in session.  Otherwise, a key card is required to gain entry after school hours.

Protective Mylar Security Film is reflecting and inhibits the ability to see inside.

Finally, in terms of students access on computers, we are committed to providing a safe digital learning experience.  Our network security and content filtering tools help prevent access to inappropriate material while supporting meaningful, curriculum based online research and collaboration.
