MINUTES OF MEETING

Regular Meeting Begins:
New Business:
Mrs Donetta announced March 12 – March 16 is the Book Fair
Monday, March 12 is SET UP
Shopping on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday until 6:00 pm
Friday, March 16 is TAKE DOWN
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Ms Yale will supply reading recommendations
Old Business:
Mrs Sholtis reported that the Mannequins have been received.
8th Grade is ready to get Red Cross certified for Adult & Infant CPR.
Mrs Sholtis provides this service on a volunteer basis. Thank you, Mrs Sholtis
Box Tops:
Box Tops collected earn us $1,640.50
Look for the next collection to begin around Valentine’s Day.
It was suggested, to set a goal that would earn the whole school a dress down day (K-4) & (5th – 8th)
Education:
Mrs Huntzinger – 2nd Quarter Report Cards go home January 20th, 2012.
Mid – Term Exams are posted
Check the homework hotline.
National Testing is in April for 2, 4, 6, & 8th Grades
It is these scores that qualify students for various programs, such as C-mites and John Hopkins
Mrs Tasselmyer – 4th Grade Science Fair – March 19th
Mrs Robasky – Science Fair Competition – March 9th at Penn State – Lake Lehman campus
Mrs Robasky, Thanked student council for their donation and the parents for all their help in supporting the program.
Plays/Shows
Ms Yale – the plays are this weekend Saturday, January 14th @ various times, class dependent
Dress Rehearsal on Thursday and Friday, again class and times dependent watch for hand – outs
Volunteers are needed for tear down, after the plays. Props need to be removed from the stage and taken back to the school.
No Classes on Monday- Martin Luther King Day
Extra Curriculum Activity:
Student Council next skating party – Feb 16th
Ski Club, every Friday until they close
Other Topics:
Night at the races – save the date – April 28th 2012
Last year’s 8th grade class raised $8000.00
Mrs. Huntzinger thanked everyone for their support with the 8th grade fund raising
Cappi reported that Basketball season is up and running
Games are on Saturdays or Sundays
Many thanks to the parents and coaches for their support
Fund Raising:
Jill reported that Barnes and Nobles night earned us $701.00
Ralph is preparing for the spring fund raiser
