Homework Hotline

Wilkes-Barre Academy is proud to offer the services of a “Homework Hotline”.

This hotline allows both the parents and students to call the school anytime, after 4:00 PM, and hear all of the assigned homework for the evening.

The “Homework Hotline” will also include a listing of upcoming tests, projects and/or special events.

Homework is a required and graded part of the Wilkes-Barre Academy education. Please use the “Homework Hotline” freely and regularly in order to keep informed about all assignments.

Tips for Success
 

  • Set up a specific time to study and do homework.
  • Study in a quiet place where you can focus.
  • Make flash cards or work with a partner and quiz each other.
  • Take notes and read them nightly.
  • Try reading your notes out loud or rewriting them.
  • Always ask for help.
  • Use a homework book or planner to keep track of test, quizzes and assignments.
  • Keep a separate organized notebook for each subject.
